Overview of Liberty Safe’s Centurion Series
Liberty’s Centurion Series safes are three sizes:
- Centurion 12 (245 lbs.)
- Centurion 18 (340 lbs.)
- Centurion 24 (365 lbs.)
Depending on the model you choose, you can store a maximum of 12-24 long guns. Your individual safe capacity may vary depending on the size of your guns and attached accessories.
Centurion’s Security Features
Centurion gun safes are California-approved firearm security devices and meet the requirements of Penal Code Section 23655. Each Centurion is constructed from 14-gauge rolled steel and has a 1"-thick composite door front. The total body thickness of the safe is .75" and the total door thickness is 4 inches. Despite its economy price, the Centurion features some of Liberty Safe’s innovative security options, including up to 10 3/16"-thick, 4-inch wide, military-style locking bars and hardplate steel lock guards.
Additional security features include:
- Direct Cam Drive locking mechanism
- Integrated Z-bar to increase the door’s pry resistance
- Internal and external relockers
- Strong 2-piece roll-form CNC body
- UL-listed S&G 6741 Mechanical Lock (Standard) with optional upgrade to SecuRam TopLit UL-listed electronic lock
Centurion’s Fire Protection Features
Some manufacturers’ economy safes skimp on fire protection, but not Liberty Safe! The Centurion provides 30 minutes of fire protection at a maximum temperature of 1200°F. Centurion’s fire protective features include:
- 1 layer of Ul-rated fireboard on its sides and doorjambs
- 3 interlocking layers of UL-rated fireboard in its ceiling and door
- Heat-activated, expanding Palusol™ door seal to keep fire, smoke and heat out
Centurion’s Added Features
Just because the Centurion’s price is budget-friendly doesn’t mean it is limited in style features. The exterior is a durable black textured finish with a black drop-down handle. Its interior is fully upholstered in gray fabric.
You have the option of a gun-only or Dual Flex interior (18 and 24 only) that gives you flexibility as your needs change. Additional accessory options that can be added to the Centurion include:
